rocking the good day!

Every day is a struggle of one kind or another.  Sometimes it goes hour to hour whether behaviors will hit us or not.  But then we have days like today.

Today we had an awesome day.  On a scale of 1 to 10 in awesomeness, today ranked about an 8.5.  Sure we had some minor behaviors, but we had more positive than negative and that deserves to be celebrated.

David can lose privileges quickly once he gets on a roll of negative behaviors.  One of the first that he loses is lawn mowing.  Only because it is his favorite activity.

Now before you jump all over me for taking away this particular activity, it is also the very first thing that he earns back with positive behaviors.

This is the second week in a row where he has been able to mow.  Does that mean that he is cured?  No.  But we are trying to accommodate his needs as much as we can to ensure both happiness and tranquility.

Pure happiness.
Pure happiness.

The other thing that happened in July.  David received a new bicycle for his birthday.  It was purchased new, but they must have pinched the tube or something putting it together, so it had a flat.  Today David helped me fix that tire. What resulted was a smile, a genuine smile.  The one in the mower picture isn’t as genuine as the one you see here.

So this is for David.  For having a day that rocked!
